Dialogue with Three Chords to Continue Spring Season With Country Music-Inspired Plays

Indie theater company Dialogue with Three Chords (D3C) continues their Spring 2026 season on May 28th with plays inspired by the brutal costs of Country Music success. Written by Stephen Gracia and directed by Michael LoPorto, the show starts at 8pm, and is presented by brooklynONE Productions (bkONE) at the Tom Kane Theatre at 51 35th St, Brooklyn, NY 11232.

Tickets are $10 and are available online or in person at the theatre. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds. The show also features a live musical performance by GreenLady.

The spring season, with an additional performance on June 25th, marks D3C's 15th year of Original Theatre, and will culminate with the group's 200th original play.

The April 30th performance, "How Shall I Atone for All My Acts of Love?" features three short plays and two monologues.

"It's Hard for Thee to Kick Against the Pricks" finds a scandal plagued country music artist returning home and looking for ways to square stardom with faith.

"The Soft Tragedy of Being Your Favorite Songwriter's Favorite Songwriter" is a play about dwindling royalties, near empty concert halls, and going through withdrawal on your Best Friend's couch.

"What Cannot Be Cured Must Be Endured" questions how you survive when your faith and your community demand that you suffer forever in silence.

The monologues "A Townes Van Zandt Type" and "A Tammy Wynette type" are about the romance of a senseless death, and who you're standing by at the gates of heaven.

In June, the group will transform the concept of "Southern Pride" through plays about queer country music.
