BLUEBIRD SALON: IN FULL COLOR Pride Edition to Open at Young Ethel's in Brooklyn
The showcase, hosted by Gracie Rittenberg, is presented in collaboration with JÁ International Theatre.
Bluebird Theatre Company will present Bluebird Salon: In Full Color, a Pride edition of its recurring script-reading showcase, on Monday, June 29, 2026 at 8:00 PM at Young Ethel's in Brooklyn. The evening is presented in collaboration with JÁ International Theatre, based in Portugal.
Hosted by Gracie Rittenberg, Bluebird Salon: In Full Color will feature a lineup of new scripts, screenplays, and theatrical experiments centering queer voices, queer joy, chosen family, defiance, desire, identity, and whatever else Pride stirs up on the page.
Bluebird Salon is a recurring script-reading showcase staged in the back room/bar glow of Young Ethel's, where actors bring fresh pages and works-in-progress to life for a room of artists, writers, friends, drinkers, and curious people. Part theatre, part creative hang, part informal literary salon, the night unfolds through live readings in an intimate dive-bar setting, followed by space to linger, talk, meet people, and find out what everyone is making next.
