Beetlejuice The Musical tells the story of Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager obsessed with the whole 'being dead thing,' whose new house is haunted by a recently deceased couple and a degenerate demon with a thing for stripes. The production is directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Alex Timbers, with an original score by Tony Award-nominee Eddie Perfect and a book by Scott Brown and Emmy Award-nominee Anthony King. The Brisbane season stars Broadway's Andy Karl as Beetlejuice, with Jenni Little as Barbara Maitland, Karis Oka as Lydia Deetz, Rob Johnson as Adam Maitland, Erin Clare as Delia Deetz, and Tom Wren as Charles Deetz. The Australian production has been awarded four Green Room Awards, including Outstanding Production.
