Boston Ballet presents Mikko Nissinen's The Nutcracker, New England's quintessential holiday tradition, featuring exquisite choreography, Tchaikovsky's iconic score, and lavish sets and costumes. The production features the full Company, Boston Ballet II dancers, Donna Egan Graduate Program, and Boston Ballet School students across a 48-performance run. The story follows young Clara, who receives a wooden nutcracker that transforms into a handsome prince, leading her through an enchanted forest to the Kingdom of the Sweets. Scenic and costume design is by Robert Perdziola, with lighting by Mikki Kunttu and music performed by the Boston Ballet Orchestra led by Mischa Santora.
