The GRAMMY-winning Harlem Quartet returns to the Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival, featuring Ilmar Gavilán and Melissa White on violin, Jaime Amador on viola, and Felix Umansky on cello. Founded in 2006 by the Sphinx Organization and making its public debut at Carnegie Hall, the ensemble is known for its cross-pollination of classical, contemporary, jazz, and Latin-infused repertoire. The program includes Ludwig van Beethoven's String Quartet in A Major, Op. 18, No. 5 and works by Guido López-Gavilán, William Bolcom, and Aldo López-Gavilán.
