The Community Players Announces 87th Season
Rhode Island's oldest community theater group, The Community Players opens its 87th season with the Tony Award-winning musical La Cage aux Folles.
Directed by Marcia Zammarelli, with music direction by Esther Zabinski and choreography by Peter Deffet, La Cage aux Folles will open at Jenks Auditorium in Pawtucket, on November 16 and run through December 2, 2007.
The season continues in February 2008 with Ernest Thompson's On Golden Pond, directed by Peggy Pires. On Golden Pond will be presented from February 1 – 10.
Kander and Ebb's Chicago will run from April 4 – 20, 2008, with Greg Geer directing and Ron Procopio musical directing.
Capping the season is Neil Simon's Tony Award-winner Broadway Bound, the third of Simon's autobiographical trilogy (which includes Brighton Beach Memoirs and Biloxi Blues), directed by Brian Mulvey. Broadway Bound will be presented from June 13 – 22, 2008.
Tickets
go on sale four weeks prior to the opening date of each show.
Individual tickets are $15.00 for non-musicals and $18.00 for
