The Colonial Theatre Presents Frank Ferrante: An Evening with Groucho 4/9
Award-winning actor/director/playwright Frank Ferrante recreates his acclaimed portrayal of legendary comedian Groucho Marx in the fast paced An Evening with Groucho. This hilarious 90-minute event will take place at the Colonial Saturday, April 9 at 4pm (please note the time has been changed from 8pm).
Tickets are $35 and $25 and may be purchased in person at the Colonial Ticket Office at 111 South Street or by calling (413) 997-4444 or online at www.TheColonialTheatre.org.
The Ticket Office is open Monday-Friday 10pm-5pm, Saturdays 10pm-2pm or on any performance day from 10am until intermission.
The two-act comedy consists of the best Groucho one-liners, anecdotes and songs including "Hooray for Captain Spalding," and "Lydia, the Tattooed Lady." The audience literally becomes part of the show as Ferrante ad-libs his way throughout the performance in grand Groucho style. Accompanied by his onstage pianist, Jim Furmston, Ferrante portrays the young Groucho of stage and film and reacquaints us with the likes of brothers Harpo, Chico, Zeppo and Gummo, Charlie Chaplin, W.C. Fields, Greta Garbo, Marx foil, Margaret Dumont and MGM's Louis B. Mayer. A show perfect for all ages!
