Steps off Broadway to Present THE MARVELOUS WONDERETTES, 8/1-3

Steps off Broadway Productions, Inc., will be closing their 4th show in their summer series this weekend. Final performances include August 1 & 2 at 7:30 PM August 3 at 2:00 PM. Performances will be held at Steps very own intimate theater at 799 South Main Street in Bellingham.

This show is filled with some of the most popular songs from the 50's and 60's. Scheduled entertainers, The Crooning Crabcakes, can't make it, so get ready for The Marvelous Wonderettes to take their place. You will experience lots of tight, four-part harmony on some of the most memorable songs, laced with wise-cracking, boyfriend-stealing, back-stabbing interaction from the four Wonderettes. Think Forever Plaid meets Mean Girls. The show's strength is its music and vocals, but second-act surprises help make a fun show a smart show as well. It won't be giving too much away to say pay attention to what might sound like several throw-away lines in the first act. Who can resist songs like Mr Sandman, LollyPop, Stupid Cupid, Secret Love, Teacher's Pet, It's My Party, Leader Of the Pack, and Respect to name a few. Wonderettes is fast paced, energetic, and full of surprises.

The show is under the Direction of Bellingham's own Keith Mottola who is paying special attention to the original style coming from the original Broadway Production. Cast includes Maddie Canfield from Foxboro, Gabby Millard from Attleboro, Lauren Pelland from Uxbridge, and Sarah Dube from Cumberland, RI.
