Barrington Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Producing Director Richard M. Parison, Jr., will present Anthony Shaffer's Sleuth and the world premiere of Mark St. Germain's Freud's Last Session, as part of the theater's 15th Anniversary Season.

Emmy Award-winner Charles Shaughnessy (TV's "The Nanny" and Broadway's Urinetown) and Jeremy Bobb (Encores! Finian's Rainbow, Primary Stages Shipwrecked and BSC's Thief River) will star in Anthony Shaffer's Tony Award-winning thriller Sleuth. Directed by Jesse Berger (NYC's Red Bull Theater, Artistic Director), Sleuth runs July 16 through August 1. The press opening is Sunday, July 19 at 5pm.

Press notes describe Sleuth as, "What do you get when you take one eccentric detective novelist, add in his wife's lover, stir in a cocktail or two, blend in a team of intrepid investigators, top it off with a dangerous proposition and mix it all together in an English manor house? One of the most deviously clever thrillers ever concocted. Plots, counterplots, and double crosses are unleashed as rivals play out deadly games in a tangled web of intrigue. Popular mystery writer Andrew Wyke (Charles Shaughnessy) lives in a world of plot twists and intricate strategies. In discovering his wife's lover, Milo (Jeremy Bobb), Mr. Wyke devises a devious plan to humiliate him. But even the best laid plans can go astray when the police arrive and a new game begins - a game where rules don't apply and the stakes are life or death."

Mark H. Dold, recently seen in the world premieres of Opus at The Old Globe and The School of the Night at the Mark Taper Forum, returns to BSC (Cyrano de Bergerac, The Importance of Being Earnest, and Private Lives) to star as C.S. Lewis opposite Martin Rayner (Star Trek: Voyager, Broadway's The Invention of Love and Off-Broadway's Travels With My Aunt) as Sigmund Freud in the world premiere of Freud's Last Session on BSC's Stage 2.

Freud will be playwright Mark St. Germain's (Camping With Henry and Tom) third play and world premiere at Barrington Stage Company (Ears On a Beatle and The God Committee). Directed by Tyler Marchant (BSC's A Picasso), Freud's Last Session runs from June 10 - 28, with a press opening on Sunday, June 14 at 7:30pm.
