STAGE TUBE: Justin Long & Renee Fleming Talk LIVING ON LOVE at Williamstown Theatre Festival
Williamstown Theatre Festival has released an extended video interview between Justin Long and Renée Fleming about the upcoming production, LIVING ON LOVE, which opens at the Williamstown Theatre Festival this Thursday, July 17. Check it out below!
The production, playing through July 26, also stars Anna Chlumsky, Douglas Sills, Blake Hammond, and Scott Robertson, and is directed by Kathleen Marshall.
World-renowned soprano Renee Fleming takes the festival stage as celebrated diva Raquel De Angelis. When her husband, the fiery and egomaniacal Maestro Vito De Angelis, becomes enamored with the lovely young lady hired to ghostwrite his long-delayed autobiography, Raquel retaliates by hiring her very own-and very handsome-ghostwriter to chronicle her life as an opera star. As the young writers try to keep themselves out of the story while churning out chapters, the high-energy-and high-maintenance- power duet threatens to fall out of tune for good. A sparkling comedy from two-time Tony Award winner Joe DiPietro (Nice Work if You Can Get It, Memphis), based on the play Peccadillo by the revered Garson Kanin (Born Yesterday).
The creative team includes Derek McLane (Scenic Design; WTF's Quartermaine's Terms), Michael Krass (Costume Design; WTF's A Midsummer Night's Dream), Peter Kaczorowski (Lighting Design; Tony Award winner, The Producers), Scott Lehrer (Sound Design; WTF's Rodney's Wife), and Music Coordinator Rob Fisher (Anything Goes). The Production Stage Manager is Brandon M. Kahn.
