Brown Box Theatre Project has announced their 7th Season of touring free and accessible theatre to communities throughout Greater Boston. Continuing in the tradition of their annual Free Outdoor Shakespeare tour, Brown Box's ambitious 2017 Season will be performed entirely outdoors and presented free of charge at all locations.

In addition to a much-anticipated production of Hamlet this August, Brown Box will also present their first-ever musical production with Jason Robert Brown's beloved Songs for a New World in May.

This season of bold, relevant, and deeply personal productions asks big questions about the human experience. Centering on life-changing moments of decision and the repercussions of those choices, Songs for a New World and Hamlet paint vitally revealing portraits of our formidable, unpredictable, and beautiful world. Brown Box's 7th Season will be inventively staged at multiple outdoor venues across Eastern Massachusetts before touring through the Delmarva Penninsula, furthering the company's commitment to making the performing Arts Accessible to the widest possible audience.

Songs for a New World will be performed in Massachusetts May 5-14, and Hamlet will be presented August 18-27. A full schedule for both productions will be announced shortly; please refer to www.brownboxtheatre.org for the most up-to-date information.

All 2017 Season performances are free, performed outside, and open to all audiences. Funding for these events is provided in part by Massachusetts' Department of Conservation and Recreation and the Fort Point Watersheet Activation Program - organizations dedicated to cultivating a vibrant cultural community where the arts thrive.
