SONG STORIES...MUSIC FROM THE GREAT WHITE WAY Coming to STATE OF THE ARTS This Fall

By:

The stage is set for a sophisticated evening of song and romance at the upcoming cabaret, "Song Stories...Music from the Great White Way" on Saturday, November 12, 7:00 p.m., at Oakes Ames Hall, 3 Barrows Street, North Easton.

Presented by STATE OF THE ARTS, in association with Oakes Ames Hall and the Easton Shovel Town Cultural District, the program takes an uplifting journey through the Broadway songbook as guests can enjoy cocktails and plates of delectables.

Set at the historical and recently renovated Oakes Ames Hall, "Song Stories...Music from the Great White Way" recreates favorite moments of songs, stories and characters from the world's great musicals. New York headliners, Christine Hope and Mark Bradley Miller, will guest star and perform along with two local up-and-coming entertainers. Created by the accomplished team of Michael La Fleur, director, and musical director Thomas Conroy, this venture by STATE OF THE ARTS offers a professional show experience new to the area.

"People will be swept away by the power and beauty of our four stunning vocalists," says director La Fleur. "This will be a glamorous evening full of romantic song and merriment. We've created "Song Stories" as the kind of entertainment you usually find only in the high-end clubs and showrooms of Manhattan, Boston or other large cities. Our special setting amid the elegant wood and staiNed Glass of historical Oakes Ames Hall, raises the bar in local entertainment standards and promise a truly special and memorable experience for all."

Evoking a Manhattan nightclub atmosphere, seating for "Song Stories" is offered in both intimate and group tables. Tickets are $25 adults, $20 students/seniors, and available online at www.stateofthearts.org.

STATE OF THE ARTS is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing together outstanding local talent with national artists from Broadway, Hollywood and Las Vegas for highly professional performances. More information on STATE OF THE ARTS is available at www.stateofthearts.org.
