Provincetown Theater Will Present 4-Star Solo Show Festival

The Provincetown Theater has announced the return of its annual 4-Star Solo Show Festival, running Thursdays through Saturdays from June 4–27 at 7 p.m. The festival will feature four solo productions exploring themes including identity, grief, family, activism, and history.

The festival will open June 4–6 with Prisontown by Lee Osorio. The solo work follows a writer confronting questions of activism and responsibility after receiving a pointed message from his immigration attorney brother. Osorio’s previous work has been developed and presented at organizations including Actor’s Express, Savannah Rep, Alliance Theatre, and the Eugene O’Neill Festival.

Running June 11–13, Beth by Marty Miller explores grief, queerness, and resilience through the perspective of a New York City server reflecting on loss and survival. Miller performs regularly at UCB MainStage and tours the variety show COMPLETELY, GIRL.

From June 18–20, Jon Gentry will present Black Bastard, a coming-of-age story set in 1990s Houston. The piece follows a young Black boy navigating family upheaval while discovering literature and confronting adulthood at an early age.

The festival will conclude June 25–27 with Fair State by Megan Gogerty. The production examines family history and inherited mythology as a woman uncovers unexpected ancestral ties following her father’s death. Gogerty’s work has been presented internationally, including at the Edinburgh Fringe and in New York City.

Tickets

Performances will take place at the Provincetown Theater, located at 238 Bradford Street in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Tickets are available through the theater’s box office and official website.
