After making a mark on the music scene in his native Cleveland, Cavanaugh landed in Las Vegas playing the piano at the New York, New York hotel and casino.  While there, he was hand-picked him to be the frontman for Movin' Out, the hit Broadway and touring show based on Billy Joel's music.

In addition to the upcoming dates at Mohegan Sun, Cavanaugh is also doing a free public performance at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, NY on Long Island on June 30.

Cavanaugh is also developing a Symphony Orchestra show including new arrangements of Billy Joel and other piano rock legends (Elton John, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, etc...) orchestrated for Michael, his band, and full symphony.  The program will debut with the Indianapolis Symphony Pops in April 2008 and in June or July 2008 he will perform the program with the Cincinnati Pops.

Michael Cavanaugh will be at Mohegan Sun's Wolf Den on Sunday, July 1 at 7:00 p.m. and Monday, July 2 at 8:00 p.m. It is suggested that you arrive early, as these shows are free and seating is general admission.  Visit www.mohegansun.com for more information.
