Magician BJ Hickman's Tuesday morning magic show for the Cochecho Arts Festival in Dover will mark 35 consecutive years performing for Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce events. "It's my longest running gig," boasts Hickman, "and I have added something new for this show. It's going to be fun."
Hickman was first booked by the Chamber in 1975 for shows during the Downtown Dover Summer Festival. He has also performed at several of Dover's Apple Harvest Days, and every Cochecho Arts Festival. "It is always a pleasure performing here in Dover," according to the long-time Dover resident and Manchester native. "Last year a child commented that their grandparents remembered enjoying my show when they were young. I can't think of a better way to make a living!"The show is scheduled for 10:30, Tuesday, August 4 on stage at the Rotary Arts Pavilion, Henry Law Park in Dover.
