MIT Shakespeare Ensemble Closes THE COCKTAIL PARTY, 7/21
When disenchanted lawyer, Edward Chamberlayne, is abruptly deserted by his wife before a cocktail party, he is forced to conceal his shattered marriage from the prying eyes of colorful, but obtrusive socialites.
After seeking advice from a mysterious stranger, who agrees to help repair the Chamberlayne's marriage, Edward begins to suspect that his decisions are no longer his own. As Edward struggles to understand his situation, other affairs are exposed, relationships end, and more startling connections to the mysterious stranger are revealed. Of course, no one is as he seems ... and that discovery presents some with a choice: willfully remain in the dark, or brave the consequences of acknowledging their isolation. Show Dates:
