Jules Manning Named Vice President & Managing Director Of Booking At The Boch Center ImageThe Boch Center, one of the nation's leading nonprofit performing arts institutions, announced today the appointment of Jules Manning as Vice President & Managing Director of Booking. Manning has an accomplished background in live entertainment, with more than 20 years' experience on the venue, promoter, producer and record label side of the music industry. As part of the senior management team, Manning will be responsible for securing new music, comedy, dance, and variety artists and Broadway shows at the Wang and Shubert Theatres, geared towards expanding the Center's current offerings.

"We are delighted to welcome Jules Manning to the Boch Center team," said Josiah A. Spaulding, Jr., President & CEO of the Boch Center. "With extensive experience in the entertainment industry, I am confident Jules will help increase our overall booking activity and help the Center continue to provide the Greater Boston community with diverse programming, representing artists of all genres."

Previously, Manning managed programming and artist relations for the Madison Square Garden Company's venues that include New York City's Beacon Theatre, Radio City Music Hall, The Theater at Madison Square Garden and the Wang Theatre in Boston. Booking hundreds of sold out shows, and developing a Tedeschi Trucks residency at the Beacon Theatre, she helped the venue become one of the top 10 theaters in the United States, selling over 385,000 tickets annually. Additionally, Manning was an integral member of the team that produced "From The Big Apple To The Big Easy: The Concert for New Orleans" which helped raise $8M. Prior to working for the Madison Square Garden Company, she worked at Sony Music in both the College Marketing and Columbia Records Marketing Department.

"I'm thrilled to join Joe and the entire team at the Boch Center. For me, this new adventure is not only a homecoming to my beloved city of Boston; it is an opportunity to work with a great team and cultivate growth at two of the city's most revered and beautiful venues, the Wang and Shubert Theatres. The icing on the cake may just be the chance I will have to pay it forward by working with the Boch Center's non-profit efforts to reach underserved communities through its diverse mix of educational and community outreach initiatives," Manning said.
