Blue Spruce Theatre’s "Angry Inch" (a.k.a. Hot Protestants with Emeen Z) from their production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch will be performing in two gigs this coming weekend.  Friday, October 30 they will be performing at TT the Bear's in Central Square, Cambridge. The festivities starts at 9 with Emeen Z. Rumor has it that Hot Protestants will be bringing on a special guest later on in the evening, so be ready to get your Hed on!

If that weren't enough, Hot Protestants will also be performing at O'Brien's in Allston on Halloween, Saturday, October 31.  So, bring your most outrageous glam outfit and rock out - as Hedwig herself is sure to make an appearance there as well.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch will begin performances at the Black Box Theater at the Arsenal Center for the Arts on Thursday, November 12, 2009.  The show’s opening will be on November 13, 2009 and run through November 22, 2009.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch, a rock musical that premiered in 1988, follows Hedwig, a transgendered singer from East Germany.  The musical tells of his life, his journey from Germany to America and the formation of his glam rock band The Angry Inch.  Through colorful rock songs and monologues, Hedwig tells his story of love, loss and creation.  The Arsenal Center for the Arts is located at 321 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA, 02472.  For more information about the Arsenal Center, visit http://arsenalarts.org.
