Heart & Dagger Productions Presents BEYOND THE LIGHT, & CRAVE, 3/9-17

By:

Heart & Dagger Productions announced the premiere of Joey C. Pelletier's BEYOND THE LIGHT presented along side CRAVE by Sarah Kane!

Beyond the Light & CRAVE open on March 9, 2012 at the Boston Center for the Arts. The production runs until March 17th.

Beyond the Light is a story about life after attempted suicide. Graham is terribly depressed and angry. He regrets his whole life and can no longer see a future in which he wants to live. One night Graham decides it will be his last. He takes a bunch of pills and slashes his wrists. But upon waking in a hospital, he finds that he's failed. With the help of family, friends, and even ghosts, Graham will pick himself up and start anew with the possibility of a happy life...or he won't.

Conceived, Directed, and Choreographed by Artistic Director Joey C. Pelletier, BEYOND THE LIGHT is a homage to friends who've past and to the brilliant writings of Sarah Kane. It is presented through Mr. Pelletier's unique voice and dance-storytelling.

Choreography is assisted by Kiki Samko, Elise Weiner Wulff, and Erin Rae Zalaski--all who perform in the production.

H&D regulars Mikey DiLoreto, Elizabeth Battey, Amy Meyer, Audrey Lynn Sylvia, Christina Malanga and Danny Raps are also featured.

Jesse Woods, Cassandra Meyers, Christopher Nourse, and Louise Hamill round out this wonderful ensemble.

Sarah Kane's CRAVE is a "hugely unnerving theatrical experience". A woman is left with memories, moments reflected through three pieces of her soul. They scar her. They leave her craving for more. It is "shot through with the language of the Bible and a genuinely poetic richness."

Directed by Melanie Garber (Priscilla Dreams the Answer-Fresh Ink Theatre Company) and featuring Abigail Matzeder, Terrence Haddad, Michael Underhill, and Meredith Saran, CRAVE promises to leave you breathless.

Lighting Design, Gary Slootskiy
Costume Design, Kaitee Tredway
