Gloriae Dei Cantores Will Present Bach's ST. MATTHEW PASSION on Cape Cod
Creare Symphonia joins the performance at Church of the Transfiguration.
Gloriæ Dei Cantores will present Johann Sebastian Bach’s ST. MATTHEW PASSION on Cape Cod. The performances will be held at the Church of the Transfiguration in Orleans, Massachusetts.
The performances will take place on May 29 and 30 from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. The production will feature Gloriæ Dei Cantores and Creare Symphonia under the direction of Richard K. Pugsley, joined by internationally acclaimed soloists.
Bach’s ST. MATTHEW PASSION is written for solo voices, double choir, and double orchestra, and presents the story of Christ’s final days. The work will be performed in the acoustic setting of the Church of the Transfiguration.
