Gary E. Harris Exhibition To Open At Pittsford Fine Art
Featured artist show will run May 1–31 with opening reception in Pittsford.
Pittsford Fine Art will present a featured exhibition of work by Gary E. Harris from May 1 through May 31, with an opening reception scheduled for May 1.
Harris, a Western New York native currently based in Brighton, studied fine arts at SUNY Geneseo and the Art Institute of Boston. After a career as Creative Director and National Sales Coordinator for Willow Group, he transitioned to painting full time.
His work is influenced by Impressionism, particularly the work of Claude Monet and other Paris-based artists of the 19th century. Harris’s oil paintings emphasize light, atmosphere, and open composition, with subject matter drawn largely from Cape Cod and Western New York landscapes, along with still life.
He has exhibited at venues including the Highland Museum, the Provincetown Art Association and Museum, and the Memorial Art Gallery. Harris has also studied at the Cape School of Art and worked with artists including Mary Giammarino, Hilda Neily, John Clayton, and Anne Blair Brown.
He is currently represented by the Roycroft Gallery.
