The Williamstown Theatre Festival has announced the full casting for THE UNDERSTUDY by Theresa Rebeck (Mauritius, The Scene).  Bradley Cooper (Wedding Crashers, "Alias"), Kristen Johnston ("3rd Rock from the Sun") and Reg Rogers (Tony Nomination – Holiday, The Pain and the Itch) will appear in this world premiere.   Due to conflicts with an upcoming film, the previously announced Julie White had to withdraw from the production. Directed by Scott Ellis (Tony Nomination - Curtains, Good Boys and True), THE UNDERSTUDY will run on the Nikos Stage from July 23 – August 3.

The design team for THE UNDERSTUDY includes set design by Alexander Dodge, costume design by Tom Broecker, lighting design by Ken Posner, and sound design by Obadiah Eaves.  The production stage manager is David H. Lurie.

In THE UNDERSTUDY, box office heroes and washed-up has-beens take heed: the play's almost the thing. In this bitingly witty and entertaining world premiere comedy, the lights of Broadway cast an unbecoming glow over this look at one of the most notorious roles in the theatre: the understudy.

Tickets for THE UNDERSTUDY at Williamstown can be obtained online at www.wtfestival.org, by calling 413-597-3400, or at the '62 Center Box Office (1000 Main Street, Rt.2, Williamstown).  Box office hours are Tuesday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

WTF's current Nikos production, Beyond Therapy by Christopher Durang, with Kate Burton, Katie Finneran, Darren Goldstein, Darrell Hammond, Matt McGrath and Bryce Pinkham, directed by Alex Timbers, runs through June 22.
