Charles Mee's Comedy WINTERTIME Opens 5/7 At Cape Rep Theater

By:

Cape Rep Theatre will produce Charles Mee's Comedy Wintertime as the opening production of the 2009 Indoor Theatre Season. Wintertime will open May 7 and run through May 31. Associate Artistic Director Maura Hanlon will direct. Ryan McGettigan will design the sets. Lighting design is by Chris Ostrom and Costumes are by Robin McLaughlin. Ms. Hanlon will also provide Sound Design. The cast includes Jared Hagan, Holly Erin McCarthy, Joshua Koopman, Jean Bates, Cleo Zani and Chris Schultz. Travis Dragesest is Stage managing. Additional Productions in the 2009 Season will be announced shortly.

When young lovers, Jonathan and Ariel, escape to his family's Summer house on New Year's Eve, their romantic tryst is immediately interrupted by his mother, Maria and her French lover, Francois. When Jonathan's father, Frank arrives with his lover, Edmund, this romantic little getaway explodes into a frenzy of emotion, to wonderful comic effect.

Tickets for Wintertime are on sale now and are also available as part of a 3, 4 or 5 play subscriptions. Subscriptions and single tickets can be obtained by calling 508.896.1888 or at www.theatremania.com. For more information visit www.caperep.org
