Catherine Russell's Upcoming New England Appearances

"It's a thrill to be back in New England for gigs at Chan's and Pinehills. New England has such a great tradition for Jazz and Blues and the audiences are wonderful. I'm psyched about both gigs, and what an honor to perform for my first time at Chan's, where so many legends have appeared for the past 30 years!" said Russell.

Russell's father, the late Luis Russell, was Louis Armstong's musical
director and Russell's orchestra acted as Armstong's backing
group. Her mother, Carline Ray, is a widely respected bassist and
vocalist.
