This beloved musical sensation is a fantastically fun summer romp! Set on a Greek island paradise and told through the music of ABBA, this is the hilarious story of a mother, a daughter, three possible dads and a wedding you won't soon forget. Mamma Mia! ran on Broadway for fourteen years and is the 9th longest-running show in Broadway history. With songs like "Dancing Queen" and "Take a Chance on Me," this feel-good musical will have you dancing in your seat!

Mamma Mia! will be directed and choreographed by Dani Davis, a New York producer/director who directed Cape Rep's production of Xanadu. Musical Director Peter Hodgson is back after opening our 2018 season with Merrily We Roll Along. The production team includes Ryan McGettigan, set designer (Men on Boats, A New Brain), Robin McLaughlin, costume designer (Merrily We Roll Along, How I became a Pirate) and Herrick Goldman, lighting designer (Peter and the Starcatcher, Hairspray). Kate Gulden is the Production Stage Manager and Jennifer Dupre is the Stage Manager.

The inimitable Trish LaRose (Merrily We Roll Along, A New Brain), a Cape Rep Associate Artist, plays Donna Sheridan, single mom to Lindsey Erin Agnes's Sophie. Agnes was last seen in Men on Boats and Billy Elliot. Cape Rep Associate Artists Alison Weller (Billy Elliot the Musical) and Maura Hanlon (The Mystery of Edwin Drood) play Donna's best friends Tanya and Rosie. The three possible dads are Tom Andrew (Boundless), Anthony Teixeira and Craig McKerley (both last seen in Merrily We Roll Along). Blake Gronlund makes his Cape Rep debut as Sophie's fiancé, Sky, joined by his best friends Pepper and Eddie, Cam Cote (also making his Cape Rep debut), and, Connor Shea from our summer children's show How I Became a Pirate. Sophie's best friends Lisa and Ali are played by Cape Rep newcomers Sarah Hoch and Ashlyn Inman. Davis has assembled a terrific ensemble of Cape Rep actors including Jess Andra, Hannah Carrita, Macklin Devine, Nell Hamilton, Ari Lew, Madison Mayer, Kelly Plescia, and Ryan Sheehan. Cape Rep's production of Mamma Mia! is a Cape Cod premiere and a joyous musical celebration of friendship. Mamma Mia! is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.MTIShows.com
