The Downtown Cabaret Theatre will open a new punk rock musical version of Oliver Twist on Saturday, January 13th at the theatre on Golden Hill Street in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

The new musical version, set in London in the 1980's, features book and lyrics by Artistic Director Bert Bernardi and music by Scott Simonelli. The team recently premiered Cinderella Skeleton, based on the book by Robert San Souci.

Featured in the cast of Oliver Twist are Stephen Autore, Jeff Bray, Michael Cartwright, Elissa Demaria, Tyler Daene Duboys, Connor Frawley, Ellie Grosso, Marc Guerrette, Jimmy Johansmeyer, Greg Ludovici, Mary Mannix, Brendan Quinn, Jack Saleeby and Maria Vee.

Bernardi has staged and directed the production with sets by Delmar, lighting by Hugh Hallinan and costumes by Jimmy Johansmeyer.

Oliver Twist plays on Saturdays and Sundays at Noon and 2:30pm through February 18. More information and tickets are available at www.downtowncabaret.org
