Following a sold-out run in Los Angeles this spring, triple-threat Broadway actor/singer/musician Tom Judson will debut in his new musical comedy Canned Ham in New England for a summer-long run at Provincetown's Art House Theater, 214 Commercial Street, starting on June 6th. The show will perform Sunday and Monday evenings thru Labor Day weekend.

Canned Ham is a hilarious, moving and sexy solo show, recounting Tom Judson's true life adventures from Off-Off Broadway composer to appearing on Broadway in the Tony Award-winning revival of Cabaret to becoming, of all things, porn superstar Gus Mattox -- winner of the GayVN "Performer of the Year" Award, the adult film industry's equivalent of the Oscar! Along the way, Tom exposes insider experiences working alongside such show biz greats as Chicago's Academy Award nominated director Rob Marshall, Desperate Housewives diva Teri Hatcher, Making Mr. Right cult movie star Ann Magnuson, among many others, all the while accompanying himself on the accordion. And the piano. And the clarinet. And the pitch pipe. And, of course, revealing what it's really like on the set of a porn movie.*

Canned Ham is directed by New York director Kevin Malony (Lypsinka! As I Lay Lip-Synching), and is being produced at the Art House Theater by David Drake Productions (2 Boys in a Bed...), TWEED TheaterWorks and Kearns Artist Services. Performances are Sundays and Mondays at 9PM, June 6th thru August 9th. Beginning August 15th, Canned Ham performs on Sundays and Mondays at 10PM, thru September 6th. (NOTE: Additional performances at 9PM are: June 8th, 9th and 22nd. There are no performances on June 13th, 14th , or July 12th.) All tickets are $25., and can be obtained in-person at the Art House box office starting daily at noon, or online at www.ptownarthouse.com

* WARNING: Canned Ham contains nudity and graphic descriptions of sexual scenarios.

Kevin Malony (director) is the artistic director of TWEED TheaterWorks and has been producing and directing in NYC and abroad for 20 years. He has worked with Lypsinka, Varla Jean Merman, Jackie Hoffman, John Kelly, and Edgar Oliver, among others.
