The Brown/Trinity Rep Consortium presents Figaro, a play with music based on the original by Beaumarchais, adapted and directed by Makaela Pollock (Brown/Trinity Rep Consortium '08), beginning February 29th.

Makaela Pollock has put a new spin on Beaumarchais' witty romance by setting the piece to modern music.

'It's a crazy race to the wedding altar.  Plus you get it all in one day - a servant triumphs over his master, a clown becomes the hero and love conquers all."  said Pollack in a recent press release.

The cast features Brown/Trinity Rep Consortium ('09) MFA students Haas Regen as Figaro, Joe Donovan as Count Almaviva, Jessa Sherman as Suzanne, Kimiye Corwin as Countess Rosine, Michael Propster as Cherubin, Russ Salmon as Bazile, Alan McNaney as Bartholo, Charise Greene as Fanchette, Georgia Cohen as Marceline and Jimmy King as Antonio.

Patrick Lynch will design the set, with costumes by Mike Floyd, lighting by Driscoll Otto and sound design by Nathan Leigh.
