Brown Box Theatre Project has announced upcoming performances of their first show of the 2012 season. Some Explicit Polaroids by British playwright Mark Ravenhill will be performed for two weekends in late February at the Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts. This show not only marks the premier performance of Some Explicit Polaroids to the Boston area, but also Brown Box Theatre Project's first production since relocating from New York City to the Boston area this November past.

Some Explicit Polaroids is a fast paced look at the lives of six people dealing with the harsh realities of politics, sex, drugs, and violence. Ravenhill explores the world of apathetic urbanites through the perspectives of an abused stripper, a disenchanted politician, and an ex-convict. Some Explicit Polaroids is a gritty snapshot that parallels today's turbulent social and political hardships.

Brown Box Theatre Project's Artistic Director Kyler Taustin will be returning to direct, after a successful two-state tour of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night in Maryland and Delaware last September. The cast includes all local Boston actors, including Joe Ruscio, Chelsea Schmidt, Scarlett Redmond, Terry Torres, Nick Chris, and Stephen Radochia. The crew will be a mix of Boston and New York City-based designers, including Cory Rodriguez designing set, Jillian Clark on costumes, and Tracy Lynn Wertheimer lighting.

Performances will be held February 17-19 & 23-26, 2012 at the Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts (527 Tremont Street, Boston) Thursday performances at 7:30PM; Fridays & Saturdays at 8PM; and Sundays at 2PM.
