Broadway Across America announces their Family Series: features Harold and The Purple Crayon 10/24 and Strega Nona 1/9/2010

October 24
11am, 2pm & 5pm
at The Colonial Theatre

Resourceful and brave, Harold creates the world he wants to explore, using nothing more than a big purple crayon and his sky's-the-limit iimagination. Using all the elements of its well-known signature style, (life-size puppets, masked actors and magic) this musical production will delight and amaze audiences, from children starting at Harold's age, all the way up to grandparents-anyone, in fact, whose heart is young and adventurous. Grades Pre-K to 3rd, Ages 3-9

January 9
11am, 2pm & 5pm
at The Colonial Theatre

Based on the children's books by New Hampshire author Tomie dePaola, STREGA NONA the Musical is the tale of a friendly magical witch-with a funny name-who strives to cure the ills of the tiny Italian town of Calabria. With an energetic and tuneful score by composer Aron Accurso, this fantastical tale teaches that witches can be good, and that you can't judge a pot by its pasta! Grades Pre-K to 4th, Ages 4-9
