Berkshire Elementary and Middle School Students Take the Colonial Stage in Disney's THE LION KING, JR.

Berkshire Theatre Group (BTG) is thrilled to present Disney's The Lion King, Jr., featuring Berkshire elementary and middle school students. Directed by Travis Daly, music direction by Erin White and choreography by Kathy Jo Grover, Disney's The Lion King, Jr. will run at The Colonial Theatre on April 28 at 11am and 2pm, and April 29 at 2pm. There will be a talkback following the April 28TH 2pm performance, facilitated by director Travis Daly. This production is sponsored by Lead Sponsor, MountainOne; Lyon Aviation; Massachusetts Cultural Council and The Shubert Foundation.

Director Travis Daly says, "The talent, care and commitment by our cast and crew is truly inspiring to see at every rehearsal and I can't wait for them to present this magical tale as an ensemble next week."

The coming-of-age, beloved musical, Disney's The Lion King, Jr, brings the "Circle of Life" to the Colonial stage, for one weekend only! With music and lyrics by Academy, Grammy, Golden Globe and Tony Award-winners, Elton John and Tim Rice, Disney's The Lion King, Jr. includes the heartwarming and classic songs, "Can You Feel the Love Tonight," "Hakuna Matata," "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" and more!

The cast of The Lion King, Jr. represent students from: Allendale Elementary School, Bart Charter School, Berkshire Christian School, Conte Elementary School, Craneville Elementary School, Egremont Elementary School, Emma Miller Elementary School, Herberg Middle School, Hoosac Valley Middle and High School, Kittredge Elementary School, Lanesborough Elementary School, Lee High School, Lenox Memorial High School, Monument Valley Middle School, Montessori School, Morris Elementary School, Mount Everett Middle School, Mount Greylock Regional High School, Nessacus Regional Middle School, New Lebanon High School, Pine Cobble School, Pittsfield High School, Reid Middle School, Richmond Consolidated School, Stearns Elementary School, Steiner Elementary School, St. Mary's School, St. Stan's Middle School, Williams Elementary School.

Tickets to Disney's The Lion King, Jr are $10 for children 16 and under, and $15 for adults.Tickets may be purchased in person at the Colonial Ticket Office at 111 South Street, Pittsfield or by calling (413) 997-4444 or online at www.BerkshireTheatreGroup.org. The Ticket Office is open Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm, Sundays 10am-2pm or on any performance day from 10am until curtain. All plays, schedules, casting and prices are subject to change.
