2nd Story Presents 'The Belle's Strategem'

 2nd Story Theatre will present the The Belle's Stratagem by Hannah Cowley, a romantic comedy where a feisty young heroine strategizes to win her lover's heart.

"This is a play that when you leave the theatre, you'll ask yourself why you've never heard of it before, it's a terrific little gem," said director Ed Shea, in a recent press release.

According to the release, "The Belle's Stratagem is the sparkling romantic machinations of the lovely Letetia. She is engaged to Doricourt, a childhood friend who seems indifferent towards her, and indifference is something this confident and mischievous heroine will not tolerate. Through a series of light-hearted, contrived strategies, Letetia turns Doricourt's indifference to hatred, and hatred to love. All's well that ends well. And all's fun along the way."

The Belle's Stratagem runs from August 6 – 30.  Performances are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm.  Tickets are $25 each.
