CYT-North Idaho to Present THE JUNGLE BOOK, 2/26-3/6

By: Feb. 10, 2016
Christian Youth Theater-North Idaho (CYT-North Idaho) is bringing The Jungle Book to the S.A. Kroc Theater, 1765 W. Golf Course Rd, Coeur d'Alene, ID, February 26 - Mar 6. Eighty three local children ages 8-18 currently enrolled in CYT-NI's theater arts winter classes are busy in rehearsals for their latest production.

Come join them for this original, fun-loving, musical based on one of the great English classics, The Jungle Book. Kipling's exotic tale takes us to the jungles of India where the young boy named Mowgli was raised by a pack of wolves. There he learns the laws of the jungle from his good friends Baloo the bear and Bagheera the black panther. The beauty of this book is the variety of adventures that Mowgli has and the various characters that he meets: Kaa the snake, King Louie the leader of the monkeys in the jungle, Shere Khan the dangerous bengal tiger and, of course, the beautiful young girl from the "real people" village are just some of the unforgettable characters Mowgli encounters. This is a show for all ages and a feast for the eyes with its lush jungle setting, beautiful costumes, and creative make up.
