And why?

For me, I'm totally torn between three.

-Mickey Johnstone from Blood Brothers: It's unfortunate, cause I'm actually involved with a production of Blood Brothers right now, but I'm playing the Narrator [which, is a great role]. The character goes through such a growth throughout the show, and he has so many emotions to through, and he goes through 3 or 4 huge character changes in the show. He would be a great challenge.

Robert from Company: I think the range of this character would be the deal breaker. I mean, he's got his comedic moments, and his dramatic moments. I think getting the inner dialogue of Bobby would be a challenge, which would make it fun, and singing Being Alive would make the role worth while.

Emcee from Cabaret: Do I really even need an explination?

with an honorable mention to the George's in Sunday in the Park with George.

Now your turn!

Norma Desmond.....I can't sing, but neither could Glenn and she won a Tony.

Violet from August....forget color-blind casting, how about gender-blind.....

I'm not an actress or singer, but my dream would be to play Louise in Gypsy just for one performance.

I'm a guy, but I would love to play the Angel in Angels in America.

Has there ever been a production with a male Angel? To me, the role seems like it could be played by either sex.

Princeton and Rod in Ave Q since the same actor/puppeteer does both. As an actor/professional puppeteer I know I can do it.

A still un-nursed dream of mine is to be a play actor. I don't have a strong voice, nor do I harbor any illusions of procuring one, although for the record I think vocal talent is wasted on many performers who have the voice but do not possess the soul. Absolutely wasted..

I would LOVE to play Reverend Shannon in "Night of the Iguana" as well as Frank Elgin in "The Country Girl." I would have to be about twice my age to become appropriate/convincing for them.

Fragile, downtrodden male characters clinging to one last hope, surrounded by women who are stronger, even dominating - do we see a recurring theme emerging?

Mine would be Helen Keller in "The Miracle Worker". That way, if someone took my photograph or was texting in the audience and I was truly in character, I'd never know it and wouldn't go ballistic in front of the paying customers.

I've always wanted to be a professional.

It's between two...

- Georges from SITPWG. The centerpiece of my favorite show, right in my range and with unmatched emotional (and musical) depth.

But probably #1 is:

- Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar. Yes, it's ALW, but the challenge of turning the greatest villian in human history into a tragic hero is a great acting challenge. Plus, the songs are killer, and "Superstar" is a showstopper if I ever heard one, especially as done in the revival with
