What with all this bragging... I would like to try and go back stage at some show. Like I said preferably Wicked but is it like invitation only? It seems easy but a few tips couldn't hurt :)
yeah, when my friend and I went backstage at the Kennedy Center for Legally Blonde, it was because her boyfriends mom does costuming, so she gave us a tour and all
I've been backstage at a handful of shows, but never because I asked anyone for it! I think that's kind of rude and frankly a little weird. It's a dangerous workspace, not a playground.

I got backstage at Wicked by being at the right place at the right time. I was standing with a friend that one of the stagehands recognized and I went along with them. It wasn't through any of the performers and I would feel really weird asking one of them for a tour. Even though there are some cast members that have done tours if someone asked them.
Don't believe everything that you hear! Only the peeps involved know the truth!
Ive been backstage at WICKED 3 different times, the first i wrote David Garrison while on Broadway and he took me back after with Kelly Clarkson! Then on tour in Toronto with Alma Cuervo (Morrible) before the show. and then the lovely Melissa Bohon (Glinda Understudy) took me backstage after the show's stop in Buffalo. Just send letters to actors that have friendly reputations, it doesnt hurt to ask just make sure you give email adresses.
