Part of Your World-Home Under the Sea-Be Our Guest Kiss the Girl-Beauty and the Beast (not the tune or lyrics, but the plot, setting, and whole feel to it) Daughters of Triton-Belle
Ummm...not quite...only in their general gist. But considering both are fairy tales, written by Ashman/Menken, and Disney, there are going to be similarities. But then again the same could be said of LOTS of shows.
I think Belle Reprise is more similar to Part of Your World.
"In theater, the process of it is the experience. Everyone goes through the process, and everyone has the experience together. It doesn't last - only in people's memories and in their hearts. That's the beauty and sadness of it. But that's life - beauty and the sadness. And that is why theater is life." - Sherie Rene Scott
it's the SAME COMPOSER. of course there will be similarities.
listen to Larry O'Keefe - he's most guilty of it. Jason Robert Brown will do it a lot too. same can even be said with Sondheim... I mean. Seriously? C'mon.
We can do this with Little Shop of Horrors... Somewhere that's Green and Part or Your World.
