Back from Grey Gardens Don't know how to review it. Audience was CRAZY Christine got a standing ovation at the beginning of Act 2 Scott Frankel (sp?) made a speech after & everyone came on stage (Michael Greif, etc) I'm sure more people will post more details later. AMAZING show
I was at Grey Gardens as well. WONDERFUL performance. Every one of them was in TOP form. As for the udience, it was more like a concert than a broadway how but it was great. Plus, today with the Playbills they gave out a cute little keychain with red shoes on them.
Stage door fterwards, MLW didn't come out. Christine was on her way to Birdland so she didn't sign for anyone but luckily I was at the Birdland show and she was more than happy to sign my poster there. (Plus, she sounded AMAZING at the Billy Stritch show)

My 110 story is on that thread. It was AMAZING!!!! I started crying at "Old Maid" and tears kept coming through Act II...and I was full-out sobbing during curtain call.
Beauty was great too. Screaming Donny Osmond fans and crazy rude woman in front of me for Act I aside. It was awesome!

LIVE THAT LESSON!!!!!!
I did two. And I was DRAINED emotionally when I got home.
First up was 110. My tears started at "Old Maid", stopped at intermission, then started up again ~ albeit slowly ~ with "Evening Star". And by curtain call I was sobbing. Stage doored and got to see everyone. Talked with Steve for a little while and got a hug (a "voluntary" if this was on The Guilty Ones ~ LOL), and got to tell Audra I really couldn't articulate how much the show meant to me, but there was absolutely no question in my mind where I would be on its closing day. (She'd made a little speech saying she knew we had other options of what we could have seen and she appreciated us all being there.)
Then a mad dash to the Lunt for Beauty and the Beast. It was magical and enchanting and moving. But I suspect my reaction was tempered slightly by having just said good-bye to a musical that touched and moved me more than any other ever has.
Still...it was an amazing day and one I will never forget.

LIVE THAT LESSON!!!!!!
I'm taking tomorrow off to write a paper (making myself do it by buying a student rush ticket to something so I HAVE to be done by 7. Online classes are not a good match with my inattentive-type ADHD!). But when I woke up this morning feeling almost like I had a hangover but from all the emotion, I was wishing I'd taken today off. Sadly, I only get 2 days off during summer school and I already took one.
It was worth it though. :) So worth it.
