Does anyone on here know or know of where I can find the closing monologues from Jersey Boys. I need them for a project I am doing at school. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just go see the show 16 times. That's how I learned them.

Would it be in the book? at least where you could figure it out from?

I think we have them in the JLY love thread in the off-topic board. I know I typed a few of them up.

And I'd agree with shesamarshmallow, too. 13 times and I pretty much got them down.

The book isn't out until October. re: Jersey Boys Closing Monologues

***************OBVIOUS SPOILERS*******************

*EDITED*

They were typed up on this site in another thread. Here they all are though:

Frankie: "I never made it to Tommy's party. I got to the door a few times, but I couldn't go in. I dunno, maybe Nicky looked at me funny, like I was too special or something. Nicky and that mind of his, who knows? And now he's gone, God rest him. He died Christmas Eve, 2000. I mean, for a Catholic, is that style, or what?
They ask you - what was the high point? The hall of fame, selling all those records, pulling Sherry out of a hat - it was all great. But four guys under a streetlamp, when it was all still ahead of us - the first time we made that sound, our sound - and everything dropped away and all there was was the music. That was the best. That's why I'm still out there singing. Like the bunny on TV with the battery - I just keep going and going and going. Chasing the music, trying to get home."

Nick: "Even after I quit the group, it still had some kinda pull over me. Over the years, if Frankie was playing Atlantic City, or any place near Jersey, I'd hop in the car and check it out. He'd bring me up onstage, we'd do a song or two, and he always had the same question: "Why'd you do it Nicky? Why'd you walk away?" Let me clear that up - it wasn't the side deal, it wasn't the touring, it wasn't the bad food or rooming with Tommy - it just came outta my mouth. But once I said it, I knew it was what I wanted. I wanted to go home. It was what I needed - more than the booze, the girls, more than starting my own group! Alright, I'll be honest with you, it could've been an ego thing. Everybody wants to be up front. But if there's four guys, and you're Ringo? It's better I should spend some time with my kids."

Bobby: "I'm not drawn to the old neighborhood, my life never revolved around the old neighborhood, I don't give a f*ck about the old neighborhood. I'm from wherever I happen to be - these days that's Nashville, Tennessee, where I can be found most afternoons on my new boat. Commodore Cruiser, 40 foot, nice even keel. That's my life, straight up. I'm still partners with Frankie - he's done his thing, I've done mine. But we always meet up in the end, and it's all been on a handshake from 40 years ago. I'm uncomfortable in the spotlight. These other guys...very dramatic. I may be the only Italian out of 100 that's not into the drama. Don't have that kinda ego. I'm happy just spending the afternoon on the river - just me, my beautiful wife, and a good cigar.Quiet and peaceful in the knowledge that none of this could've happened ..without ME."

Tommy: "You know what I do now? I work for Pesci. Yeah, little Joey Fishes, the same kid I used to slap around. A couple of months ago, I was driving him somewhere and he says, 'Hey, Tommy, lemme ask you a question - how do you remember yourself back then?' and I says, 'I think I was a pretty stand up guy.' And he says, 'I gotta be honest with you. You were a total prick. Nobody would've put up with your sh** except we all needed something. Everybody remembers it how they need to, right? But here's the facts: I brought Frankie up on stage for the first time, I brought Gaudio in, I held it all together until we hit. And where it counts - the old neighborhood, I'm still a hero. They even named me Belville New Jersey Man of the Year 2002! By the way - you're ever in Vegas, walk into any casino and say 'Tommy Devito'. My hand to God, you'll be outta there in about 12 seconds."

The Frankie monolouge is missing a line. It's:
"The first time we made that sound, our sound and everything dropped away and all there was was the music. That was the best."

And the boat in Bobby's monolouge is a Commodore Crusier.

Bobby: "I'm not drawn to the old neighborhood, my life never revolved around the old neighborhood, I don't give a f*ck about the old neighborhood."

Hmmm. Isn't this a rip-off of Val's lines in ACL where she says something like "I never heard about the Red Shoes, I never saw the Red Shoes, I didn't give a f*ck about the Red Shoes."
