Anthony had his first performance last night in The Fantasticks. Now hear first hand what that experience was like for him in this BroadwayWorld.com's special exclusive feature of Behind the Curtain of The Fantasticks!

OMG, I see myself in one of the pictures !

And that torn shirt on Anthony certainly did not leave much to imagination. It made up for that horrible sweater he had to wear for most of the play.

The video feature does not work for me for some reason, but I am sure it's great.

I was finally able to see the video. He seems very happy with his debut and he should be !

I saw the upside-down sweater, but I did not realize he cut his finger on his belt. What a dork ! lol

I kind of remember him being bad on American Idol....did he get better, or what? I guess I should watch the videos, maybe.

Bad? I wouldn't think so - he made it to the top 4.

Saw him perform last night and he did an incredible job - especially since it was his first night..

Also.. I learned from his bio that no one thought when he was a child he'd even be able to talk, let alone sing.. but more on that later...

Yeah they made a big deal about that on Idol, I don't remember the specifics but the doctors didn't know if he'd be able to speak.

I haven't seen him yet so I can't say too much (and no, I don't watch American Idol), but I do admire the fact that even though he could have chosen from a number of Broadway spectacles (*cough* Grease perhaps? *cough*) he chose a great show that really showcases talent because of its simpleness and intimacy. Kudos to him.

Wow, I just noticed in the photos that his hand was heavily taped during the performance ! How do you slice open your finger like that on a belt ? Was it made of barbed wire ? :)

He seems to have rather small nipples,
Is it OK to say that?

Good for him for working the boards.
Does he have to drink Snapple to perform there?

Why do you assume he was approached to do other Broadway shows?
Maybe it was the only offer he got. Yet, he is a brilliant performer with a big following and that alone deserves respect.

That depends on whether it's a good thing or a bad thing :)

It's neither. (or both)

Aww I'm so excited for Anthony! I've been a huge fan of his since he was on American Idol, and I think it's wonderful that he's in this show! :)

Um, I never assumed he was approached by other shows. I meant that he maybe was eying other shows.
