Does anyone know how the SRO for A Chorus Line has been as of late, in terms of how early one needs to get there for a Friday evening performance? Also, how probable is the lottery on a Friday night? Your help is amazingly appreciated.

Last Friday, standing room tickets were all taken by the lotto losers, so you could try lotto first and if you lose, then the woman that runs it lets you line up for SRO.

Would it just be wiser to go straight for the SRO?

Eh, not really, there are usually only 10-20 people that don't win lotto and not all of them want SRO. The lady that does the lotto is really nice and makes sure that you get SRO if you really want it.

I tried to get SRO before the lotto afew weeks ago (Sat Matinee). Got to the box office around 9 to guarentee SRO. When they opened at 10, the lady told us that they weren't selling SRO yet because the show wasn't sold out and we should try back AFTER the lotto. So we tried the lotto & ended up winning. But they were selling SRO tickets right after the lotto so as long as you're aware of the last lotto name being called, get on the line where the lady tells you and you'll get tickets.
