I believe, now this is off the top of my head but I thought I heard she was in Beauty and The Beast and that is where she met her husband....keep posting...
"Passion can drive you crazy but is there any other way to live"
Ah yes, you're right. Beauty and the Beast was the tour.
A friend of mine who worked on Chicago for a while (behind the scenes) has nothing but nice things to say about her. He said she's absolutely delightful. Always nice to hear about people.
I saw her in a tour of The Sound Of Music as Maria. She was actually very very good. I've always liked her and I really enjoyed her performance and loved her voice.
"I can't figure out what kind of life this is, comedy or tragedy, I just know it's showbiz. And what if I don't agree with the lines I have to read? They don't pay me enough, the way I see it."
I happened to see Mindy in Las Vegas when I saw Chita and Ben. Of course, this is before she was "somebody everyone knows" so I can't remember her in the role. I saw her as Roxie on Broadway, and I thought she was actually kind of average. Definitely likeable, but not a memorable performance.
I do miss her Trading Spaces. I haven't watched since she was canned.
"Hey little girls, look at all the men in shiny shirts and no wives!" - Jackie Hoffman, Xanadu, 19 Feb 2008
She was canned?!?! I just thought she left. I haven't watched it since she left either. I saw her as Roxie a couple years ago on Broadway and she was GREAT. Yeah, she also did BATB. She played the featherduster. I hope she comes back to Broadway!
"This table, he is over one hundred years old. If I could, I would take an old gramophone needle and run it along the surface of the wood. To hear the music of the voices. All that was said." - Doug Wright, I Am My Own Wife
I saw Paige Davis in Chicago. She was enjoyable. She didn't WOW me. She was a passable singer (if you're on Broadway you should be) and I don't remember having any problems with her acting. I think it was better than her singing. She has a very soft, pretty voice. She might sound refreshing on a recording.
The people who I know who know her ADORE her. Her husband has done more broadway that she has.
"We don't value the lily less for not being made of flint and built to last. Life's bounty is in it's flow, later is too late. Where is the song when it's been sung, the dance when it's been danced? It's only we humans who want to own the future too."
- Tom Stoppard, Shipwreck
Stupid idea. It was 100 times better when she was on it. I saw Patrick in The Lion King. He is a great musical theatre actor.

I agree with that. I thought her acting was right on and that her singing voice was good.

Regarding Trading Spaces, from what she said it was the producers or big guys that wanted to do the show w/o a host...prob. much cheaper as well.
I saw her in Chicago and I thought she was ok. Just strange to see her on Broadway after seeing her on tv forever.
I saw her husband in TLK as Scar and he was good.
BTW, does anyone know if he is in the show again or what both are up to?
2008 European Tour
London: Les Mis, Lion King, Sound of Music, Joseph, Hairspray, Billy Elliot
France: Le Roi Lion, Cabaret
Germany: Der Konig der Lowen
Holland: Tarzan & Les Mis
There was discussion at the time that she had been fired due to some photos that had been leaked of her at Broadway Bares, though dunno why that should be a problem, she was fully clad, and even if she wasn't, it was for a good cause.
Her husband, Patrick Page, is starring in The Lion King as Scar, and just had his play "Swansong" produced at the "Summer Play Festival" last month. Paige was at every performance cheering him on. Updated On: 8/27/06 at 04:04 AM
