i was at the 9:30 show as well, and i'm a bit bummed that i didn't hang around and wait to chat afterwards, but i was with other friends, so i didn't want to make them wait around
she always has just seemed like such a real, genuine person, so i'm not suprised that she took the time to hang around and talk. i hope she decides to do some little shows like this more often, since it sounds as if we're gonna have to wait for "the drowsy chaperone" for a while!
I was at the 7:30 PM show with wife - the show was great! She has a fantastic voice and personality to go with it. Excellent choice of songs, the time flew by. Rather see her at Birdland (as we did Stephanie J. Block and Stephanie D'Abruzzo) though if she does it again, the food/seating and prices are much better there. Joe's is quite cramped with way overpriced priced food/drinks. You can't even get a burger there (isn't it a "Pub"?)...
Some people from our theatre dept went on an LA trip to see The Drowsey Chaperone, and they got a Q&A with the cast. And sutton said,"Be kind, it is so very important, oh...and have a hobby that has nothing to do with theatre, like knitting." hahaha
When I talked to her afterwards she mentioned that she would be doing a few concerts at Feinsteins within a couple of months ( pretty much the same set, she said). Those of you who missed this still have a chance. Just thought I'd let you guys know. I don't have specifics, but keeps a watch out.
