Just a taste:

"When I experience a particularly grueling day in the office, I perk myself up by performing an entire evening of I'M A BIG OL' MARY AND THIS IS MY SONGBOOK in the privacy of my apartment. (And usually to the annoyance of my neighbors.) My opening number is Bette Midler's I'M SINGING BROADWAY AND I LOVE IT, followed by Alice Ghostley's version of the BOSTON BEGUINE. Well, soon the office blues are slipping away and I'm feeling much better. If things are going well, I'll even clear some of the furniture out of the way, and the floor show really begins. Stand back when I launch in to Loni Ackerman's version of MEN from SO LONG, 174th STREET...
