While posting a message on another thread, one of our most esteemed members refers to a "secluded absence". I'd never heard this term before. Would someone here please enlghten me?

In situations like this, I "have always depended on the kindness of strangers".

It's spell check gone very wrong. Thanks a lot for pointing out that I have a spelling problem. People on this board make me feel so welcomed. I don't know I I would do without you Dollypop.

possible that it was truly a question. Sounds like a legit term to me. It could have been some form of Jargon.
