Apparently I'm supposed to edit this to say that there are spoilers in this post. For those of you who have been living in a cave and don't know that the Wizard is Elphie's father....I haven't seen it, but I know...anyway, my question:
On the CD during "What is this Feeling" Elphaba writes a letter to her "dear father"...who is she writing to? The Wizard is her father and she doesn't find this out until the end. Is it a step father? ...

Uhm, I -didn't- know, & I didn't want to hear any of the plot-twisters until i saw the show. So if there's any way that ppl can take that off of there, or change the subject to include *SPOILER*, I'd appreciate it so other ppl don't get disapointed like me. don't mean to sound rude, but it is disapointing.
Geez you guys, have you listened to the cast recording at all?
CATSNYrevival... not in actual fact a sperm donor, the wizard is just not a father figure to Elphie.
"The stage is where I live and come alive and act out all the things that go on in my life. It's not just what I do for a living, it's my shrink and my love affair. No one in my life has ever or ever will kiss me on the mouth like this lover called my relationship with my performance."
if you open a post called IN wicked do ya not think there would be spoilers come on.... and half of you talk about seeing it, yet have listened to the cd or read the book....i appologize for the few whos nights of theatre i have ruined, but there is so much stuff on wicked on here i am suprised if anyone is virgin to the twists and subplots.........

For heaven's sake, don't try to be cynical. It's perfectly easy to be cynical.
~The Importance of Being Earnest~
See CATSNYrevival the big spoiler isn't what you thought it was. The Wizard being the father is just a small twist after the major twist. Which I for one am SOOO Happy I didn't know about until I saw the show! It was probably the happiest moment I have ever in a show. Even more then the first "Not so fast Amber" . When I saw Wicked my whole family went. My dad sat next to me anf my mom ended up sitting back a few rows and my dad still to this day (2 months latter) keeps telling my mom I wish you could have seen her face when it happened.
Grace: My love for you is like this scar (points to elbow) ulgy but permanent!
