Haven't been in the city since early November when we saw Little Shop and Freestyle Love Supreme.  Coming back on the 15th/16th with nothing planned to see, and nothing really calling out to us.

Currently there are discounts on nothing that we haven't seen or are interested in.  This is not uncommon on holiday weekends and sometimes they add discounts back in a day or so ahead of time.

If Beetlejuice added a discount we'd probably go see that.  Should we see Girl from the North Country?  Will it discount?  Pissed that we missed out on American Utopia (sold out).

There's always Off Broadway.  Maybe Seesaw?  Is there something else great that we are missing?  We have all 4 slots for Saturday and Sunday open.

Appreciate all suggestions.  I'm ok with one museum, but I'd rather not!

So I was planning a trip over Presidents day weekend then switched to pushing it out to overlap with more March openings.

On my original February list were:

  • West Side Story
  • Girl From The North Country
  • My Name is Lucy Barton
  • Cambodian Rock Band (off Broadway)
  • Bob & Carol Ted & Alice (off Broadway) newly on my radar but interesting cast

I know it’s not a guarantee but you can try the digital rush for American Utopia. It’s how I was able to see it.

Thanks for the suggestions so far.  Hoping not to have to hit the TKTS lines, but by gum I will do it if I have to!

I'm in the same boat/same weekend.  We have tix to see Gideon in Little Shop on that Saturday night....but not sure what else we might see.

I'm thinking we might just take it easy, take in a museum or other cultural thing and head home with a wonderful breakfast in our tummies.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

IIRC from my research, WSS has $39 rear mezz, My Name Is Lucy Barton has MTC $30 Under 35 tickets, Cambodian Rock Band first three (?) weeks all seats are $35, and Bob & Carol, Ted & Alice $30 digital rush via TodayTix. This was also current from a few weeks/months ago so the more affordable tickets may be gone now.

TodayTix has no ticket fee promo for Moulin Rouge!. The President's day week prices are $89-$99 in the mezzanine, which is pretty great deal for MR.
