Hi there,

I haven't found any recent posts re: FLS rush, so I am wondering- how crazy is it now that the show is wrapping up? I'd like to plan for the 7pm or 10pm show this Friday- I'm wondering if I need to plan to be there when the box office opens (I'm coming from Philly) Or if it's less dire and I can get there closer to 3 or even 4 and still be OK. Any tips are much appreciated- thanks!

Happy New Year!

I rushed on Sunday, 12/29. Walked up to the box office at 4:30 and was able to pick up 2 tickets for 10pm, full view. She only had 1 available for 7pm. I would recommend tracking it via telecharge. I knew I had a fairly good chance because the theater had plenty of empty seats for the 10pm. I just checked for you and as of right now, about 40% of orchestra seating is available. I would say you have a good chance for 10pm; far less seats for 7pm.

My info. isn't nearly as recent, but it does seem fairly easy to rush FLS. I went for the first time back in November and I was able to get a ticket to the 7pm show after having stood in line for Come From Away SRO on a Sunday. I walked over just after 12pm and got a partial view seat, 3rd row, but way off to the left against the wall. Honestly, though, the view was fine -- I wasn't able to see the entire stage, but I almost never had trouble seeing the performers because most of the action is down center.
The 2nd time I went was early December, again I went on a Sunday for the 7pm show. This time I got to the box office a little early (11:00-11:30am) and there was one lady already waiting outside. By the time the box office opened, there were three or four more people behind me and I think they all managed to get tickets. Again, ended up with a partial view seat all the way to the left, but I think in the 2nd row (view was totally fine, much like the first time).
tl;dr It seems like you should be fine either way, maybe as the performance gets closer on the day, the box office sells unsold full view seats for rush. Sounds like your chances are better for 10pm shows from everything I've seen/read!

We grabbed rush seats for the 12/30 10pm show at 7pm. It's an easy rush, especially for the 10pm shows. We got 3 box seats.

That being said, I would think this weekend will remain easy, but closing weekend will be popular, and may not have rush for the final show. As mentioned above, keep an eye out on Telecharge. Good luck!

UPDATE! My husband and I went last night and didn't score any rush tix we arrived around 2:30 and was told rush tix for both shows were gone in the morning when the box office opened. Wahhhhh!!! We also tried to get SRO  tickets for the 7pm show but they only had 1 left by the time we got there. They only offer SRO if the show is sold out and since the 10pm show wasn't sold out they didn't offer SRO tickets- we checked at 8pm to see if we could get SRO for the 10pm show and was told they likely wouldn't offer them since the show didn't look like it would sell out.

I’m sorry you couldn’t attend. It seems they’ve drastically reduced the number of rush tickets given out since their closing date is nearing. I visited the box office tonight around 7:15 asking for rush tickets for the 10pm show. I had checked Telecharge and there were plenty of empty seats yet I was declined. I also noticed they hiked up ticket prices as a good portion are now priced at what was previously premium pricing.
