I am a 30-year-old theatre enthusiast from Long Island, and launched my first broadway themed program in 2017, presenting it to over 500 Patrons in 30 Libraries across the Island. During my interactive talk I share the history and importance of the Broadway Playbill as well as money saving tips on how to see Broadway shows for under $50! I have had a few people from this discussion board attend the program and introduce themselves to me afterwards! My goal is to encourage Long Islanders to support the arts and take advantage of our proximity to Broadway and beyond!
In June 2018 I will launch a second program where I will talk about the role theatre fans have played in the theatre community over the centuries. In addition, I will inform patrons about the stage door experience, fan mail and repeat attenders. You are welcome to check out my facebook page for more information.
Here are the libraries I will be presenting at in the next few months. You can go directly to their websites to register for the program. I hope to see more broadwayword.com discussion board members in the near future!

I don’t live out there any more, but you should try the Elmont library as well. When it was reopened they added a theatre and it’s a pretty active one.
