Hi, I'm very new to the Broadway world so forgive my lack of knowledge. My friend is a huge Chris Evans fan and bought a ticket to the show but due to a family emergency, she was/still is unable to go. It really broke her heart so I thought I would try to get his autograph for her to cheer her up; but I can't afford to buy a ticket. So my question is, if he came to sign at the stage door, would he sign something that is not from the show? Would I even be allowed to stand there if I didn't see the show? Is trying to catch him preshow a better idea since I don't have a playbill for him to sign? If so, what time would be ideal to get a preshow autograph?
Sorry for all the questions, but I really want to do this for her and know nothing about Broadway
Ideally everyone there would have made the effort to see the play (not saying your friend with an emergency didn't) but I'm sure they haven't all seen it.
-Can't you get the ticket - sound like the show hasn't happened?
-I loved the show..and he was very entertaining .maybe you can get a ticket?
-If you are really worried, you can buy a Lobby Hero playbill on ebay for $20
-I don't know that he would care
-He might not show up at all - do you live nearby? You may be wasting your time.
Evans came out last night but was very quick. He wasn't talking to anyone really and just rushing to sign all the playbills and get to his car. If you're looking for a video or anything more than a signature it will be difficult. The stage door was completely insane, the craziest I've ever seen. People on the street were trying to get to him and security was screaming.
