Y'know it sucks when people we're simply having a discussion about the best way to approach the stage door and you immediately turn it into a negative. I stage door to THANK the performers and if I get autographs and pics, awesome, but that's never a given. I truly can't stand the people that post about it such as you who simply jump to the negative and tell people to leave them alone and that we're selling to ebay.

Agree! I stage door to thank the performers and compliment their acting and singing! Its a good way to connect with the actors, but i dont expect them to come out. I know that its a privilege to meet the cast

It's one thing to go and thank the performers after you've seen them perform. But turning up an hour before the show ends to wait and thank them for the performance that you haven't seen? I don't get it.

You can thank the performers by buying a ticket and applauding (the cast gets a huge standing O). Maybe they are tired, or need vocal rest, or need to regroup. And yup, there are folks selling autographs on Ebay.
I see that you are new to this board, like just a few days. Be prepared for lots of opinions that don't match your own. This is a passionate group of theater enthusiasts. Maybe grow a thicker skin.

I have a thick skin thanks. I really don't care what you think of me. And if you read my original post, you'd see that I in fact did buy a ticket. Two if you want to get specific. To the matinee show that day. So kindly take your rude thoughts about me elsewhere!

Is that even a thing? "Ben will not be signing, but he will slowly walk down the line and let everyone thank him for his performance. You can take pictures of him while he is being thanked, but he cannot stop to take pictures during the thanking."

Jen316, I think what MV was saying is that you don't have to stage door to personally thank them. They feel the audience's love when they get applauded and people buy tickets to their shows. I have in fact seen many autograph sellers at the stage door. Granted- it's not everyone, but there's a good amount of them there. And to me, it looked like MV wasn't saying that EVERYONE was selling autographs as you implied, so you better check the wording of a post before you start a fight on these boards.
